Ali grew up in Northern New Brunswick and started boxing in 1998 under her Coach and Uncle, Freddy Corrigan. Ali was NB Provincial Champ for a few years and two time Canadian Bronze Medalist. Ali took a break from boxing for a few years but is now coaching at our club and acting as President. Ali is also Vice President of Boxing New Brunswick.
Johnny Bourgeois was born and raised in Springhill, Nova Scotia. He starting boxing in 1985 at Bob Edgett's Boys Club (BEBC) until 1997. He then joined the military and trained at the Oromocto boxing club (OBC) under Aubrey McLeod. He has over 130 fights. He was the 9 time NB Provincial Champion. 4 Time Atlantic Champion and 6 time Canadian National Champion. He is currently the Vice President and Head Coach for the OBC and the NB Provincial Coach for the last Two Years.
Matt started boxing as a kid in Saint John where he boxed until he joined the military in 1996. He has been with OBC since it reopened in 2008, first as a competitive boxer and then taking over as head coach from 2012-2014. He also holds the military close quarter combat instructor qualification.
Murray has been a member of OBC since 2008 when he first started recreational boxing. He soon started to assist with the conditioning classes and later become a recreational boxing coach in 2010. Murray enjoys instructing the basic techniques of boxing, and seeing boxers of all ages progress in their boxing abilities and fitness levels.
